(ca.) Built and operated by the Water Works Company, which is led by William Tynge, it is located at the corner of today’s Union Street and North Street near Dock Square. The first incorporated water company in the British Colonies, it provides water from nearby springs through wooden pipes to the homes of several families who subscribe for the service and constructs a 12-foot-square wooden “reservoir” of water to use to fight fires.
